ABOUT THE CEO & FOUNDER

The founder Robert Wink served 14 years within the United States Army, serving two tours in Iraq totaling 28 months.  He has served in multiple positions and military occupation specialties before being medically retired. He started his career as an infantryman serving in the following positions: rifleman, squad automatic gunner, radio telephone operator, grenadier, 240B machine gunner, driver, Bradley Gunner, Humvee gunner, team leader, squad leader, vehicle commander, operations, retention NCO, human resource NCO, Army Recruiter, Platoon Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, and Contracting officer.

Upon his retirement he transitioned as a Contract Specialist/Contracting Officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency where he supported multiple disasters throughout the states of Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. His most recent was Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

His combined experience of 15 years serving the Federal Government created a strong visual understanding and the ability to create efficiency, design concepts across all organizational levels to accomplish any project or monitor program.  An organized, detail-oriented manager, and executer that creates efficiencies and completed projects ahead of schedule.  Skilled in cultivating positive relationships with clients and colleagues communicating with clarity and diplomacy to individuals or groups within the program offices.  Accomplished procurement professional, knowledgeable in sourcing/procuring supplies, services, construction, research and development, and contingency contracting using a variety of solicitation techniques to include Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation to Bid (IFB), and Request for Quotation (RFQ). Developed successful acquisition strategies leading to the reduction of risk and a cost savings over $13.2 million.

About: Racheal Valdez proudly served 14 years in the United States Army. She deployed twice to Iraq for a total of 27 months, and once to Afghanistan in 2015 for 9 months. In doing so, she was solely responsible for the logistics and international relocation of her unit and it’s property. She was also accountable for keeping and maintaining the property books, managing the unit’s supply and ammunitions facilities, organizing small arms maintenance, requisitioning and issuing supplies and equipment, facilitating mission briefs, and executing convey operations for her brigade.

 

In addition, she was a Contracting Officer Representative (COR), where she was responsible for the technical oversight and administration of contingency contracts within the Army’s regional area of operations in theater. She developed critical skills as a top rated procurement professional, knowledgeable in sourcing/procuring supplies and services using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), as well as executing large and complex contract actions. While in Afghanistan, she administrated the operations section of the Central Command (CENTCOM) - Joint Theater Support Contracting Command (C-JTSCC) where her responsibilities included working with Governmental Audit Agencies in managing, responding to and assisting in audits and oversight of all contingency contracting throughout theater, in addition to procurement policies and procedures, unit movement, contingency contract training, and preparing and executing the Commander’s Update Brief (CUB) for a General Officer of the U.S. Air force.

 

A highly respected contracting professional, she was entrusted with, and placed on the Federal Hiring Board to interview and select contracting professionals for key positions within the unit. This also included providing training and mentorship for interns and new hires, and facilitating critical mandatory training events for the entire organization.

 

Before medically retiring in 2018, she held multiple military occupation specialties where she gained multifaceted experience in all things logistics. She has held multiple leadership roles to include: squad leader, platoon sergeant, Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of sections at the unit level, battalion level and brigade level. She is a particularly trusted professional with a deep sense of integrity.
